I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review.Oh how I loved, LOVED, loved this book. The love story between John and Tyler OMG so beautifully done.
Not gonna lie there were times when I wanted to reach out slap these boys but that was because I was truly invested in them.
The transgendered aspect of this story was treated with such loving respect that honestly it just sort of disappeared. You almost forgot it was even a thing that takes talent.
The story, plot line all of it are so unique, refreshingly so, that you won't want to put it down. In fact my one warning about this book is to read it when you don't have to get up early the next morning for work because trust me once you start you have to see it until the end and then you do a fist pump and squee like a little girl..or maybe that's just me but seriously either way...you've been warned.

Life is full of road blocks and only those who can overcome the raw deals life deals them will survive. This is such a story. Both Tyler and John are facing insurmountable obstacles but through their love their lives become complete. This is a great example of Noah Harris's writing style and worth every penny when bought and I'm glad I got it.
This was exciting and just enough intimacy to keep your interest peek. I have read a few stories like this. But this one with the last surprise was a nice turn, since he was(John) was actually still a woman at one level in the game. And how that was hidden throughout their first 6 months. Like I said really enjoyed reading this story. Tyler is a great guy. Becky that was a bitch as John and Jeremiah said. Glad that Tyler did not have to fight the Alpha. Jamie and Lizzy were a great set of friends, Jamie was strong force for voicing and a good friend.
I wasn't sure about the story at first then I began to read and read and read some more. You want to hit them upside the head, shake them, laugh with them, cry with them and be happy for them. I fell into friendship with them. I figured out a long time ago that characters in a book would stay put where I left them, they would be fine right there till I got back to them. Not these two I caught myself staying up till the wee hours of the morning to see what happens next. When it ended I wanted to take them a basket of muffins just so I could see them again. Well done Noah Harris, well done.
WOW!!! Talk about taking a huge step out of the box!!! Once again, Mr. Harris has given us a well researched and thought out story line with this book. His characters and story line flow so effortlessly and the hurt, mistrust and longing for acceptance ring throughout this book! I could not put it down till the last page and got upset because their was no more to read. I was completely captivated by this book! I have attempted to read a couple of other "Transgender Books" but I found them to be lacking in realism and character development, so I didn't even finish them; but "Trans Shift" has blown me away, I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this book! Please if you don't read another book this year, take the time to at least read the synopsis it will tell you all you need to know to buy this book. An avid reader in Rock Tavern, NY.
This is the first book I have read from Noah Harris and I am pleased to say it was excellent. The first book I have seen that contains both werewolves and a transgender.
Tyler is a werewolf who leaves his pack because he is gay and to escape the unwanted attention of a female wolf who just won't get a clue and John is a FTM (Female to Male) transgender who has escaped his abusive ex husband and transitioned into a man.
Both men have left behind everyone and everything they have ever known to create a new beginning and life for themselves. With this in common, it's no wonder they fall instantly for one another.
However, it's not too long before ghosts from the past appear and threaten the happiness these two share.
If John and Tyler wish to keep their happiness, they must learn to be honest with each other and themselves and fight for what they love.
After all,no one ever said love was easy.
Have read this twice... I felt I had to convey the deeper feelings this story awakened. This took me back to a childhood where I struggled daily being viewed and treated as though I were something different from the norm. I felt a deep sense of connection with the two characters who grappled with their own deep struggles and who eventually made it through to find acceptance, a life and love being who they were meant to be... themselves. Noah Harris takes us along on their journey with loving respect, care and, as always, with his own grace and style of writing. You will feel the struggle... you will be moved and possibly come away knowing a bit more about yourself as a person.
Tyler is a werewolf who is unhappy. He just wants to be able to be true to himself and while he's living with his pack that will never happen. Tyler is gay and the pack doesn't believe in that. He runs away from the alphas daughter, who has her heart set on marrying him, even though she doesn't love him. She just thinks he'll make a good mate and leader.
John was in an abusive marriage and couldn't be true to himself. Until he gets the courage to divorce his husband and get the treatments that he so desperately wanted. He's know living as a man and is happy. He has a job and friends who accept him as he is.
John and Tyler meet at a gay bar and hit it off. Secretly they have been crushing on each other for months. They start up a relationship and everything is going good until their pasts come back to haunt them. Becky, the alphas daughter, tracks Tyler down and makes their life a living hell. He finds John's ex-husband who has a vendetta against John.
Will they be able to handle each others secrets or will it become to much for them to handle? Or will their past lives get their claws in them and drag them back to a place where they won't ever be happy.
I loved this book. It is truly amazing. Noah Harris has done it again. I received a free copy of this book for my honest review.
