Apparently this book is part of a series and i just read the last book of three. Now i will have to read the first 2. I really enjoyed this one. Normally i do not care much for fantasy, but the faery part in this book is so enjoyable. The author managed to inject just enough of that for the story to flow in such a way that it did not distract me from it's natural flow. In fact, Tèile is amusing and i am interested in the other books partly out of curiosity as to her other faery antics and how she helped bring the other couples together.I like both the hero and heroine. Logan's character is strong and realistic. I liked how he dealt with his memory loss and still managed to maintain some honourable distance from the heroine despite his attraction to her and his duties to his Laird. Although i thought his statement about no one commanding or controlling him conflicted with his supposed loyalty to the Laird whom he believed he owes his life to.
I liked Lorna a lot too. She is strong and brave, but i did find her decision to stalk to Kilcree alone to kill the Laird utterly stupid. I find that plot weak, but the overall execution of the story, the writing, and the amusing interventions of Tèile were nicely incorporated.
The sexual parts of this book is just enough, neatly written so that the reader feels the tension without having to endure unnecessarily vulgar or graphic language. I like it when the author leaves room for a reader's imagination to fill in the rest.

To Avenge Her Highland Warrior Highland Fae Chronicles Book 3 edition by Samantha Holt Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Is love determined by what one can remember?
Or is it strictly the jurisdiction of the heart?
Does it conquer all?
Of can it be discouraged in the face of insurmountable odds?
This is what Logan and Lorna must come to learn if they are ever to be together.
Trust is not something that comes easily to either of them but for their love they must face the unknown.
A truly touching love story.
The conclusion to the Highland Fae series reunites Lorna and Logan. This was such a moving story. I'll admit to being nervous that the hea might not happen for these two. I was a little disappointed that Teile seemed to be less present than in the previous novels. I'm hoping that we will see her return, perhaps the next generation will need their stories told. Fingers crossed!
I am quite fond of Scottish historicals, and this one satisfied my cravings with a lush setting, a spirited hero and heroine, and a dash of magic. Lorna seeks to revenge for her lost kingdom, and the quest is all she has left since she lots her true love Logan in battle, having never shared what he meant to her. When her plans fall through and she's captured by her enemy laird, she finds hope in the form of Logan, the love she thought she'd lost, very much alive and in charge of guarding her as a prisoner. Only battle scars have robbed him of his memories. He believes her to be his enemy and now serves the deceitful laird who tried to kill him.
With perseverance, love, and a dash of Fae magic at her disposal, can Lorna reach Logan's heart and mind in time to save the whole of Scotland from the traitorous laird and his ruthless Norse allies, or will she lose him for good this time?
Usually in a trilogy, there is a clunker, you know when when book is lacking. But, not in this series, my heart raced so fast in this last story, that I knew I wasn't going to get the HEA I wanted for this pair. Oh, how wrong I was, we get some fae fairy help, that brings some lightness to this suspenseful ending and a satisfying HEA!!
My heart ached for Logan and Lorna, and I couldn't see how they would find happiness. There's wasn't an easy road to HEA, and the author did an amazing job tying all couples together.
We do have passionate lovemaking, not vulgar, violence, and drama all over the place.
I am not explaining the premise as it has been done, but you can't go wrong with the amazing series. (ljb)
Ever since I first started reading the highland Fae chronicles of Ms. Samantha Holt I instantly liked them the mix of highlanders, strong damsels in distress, fae, battle and undying love just intrigues me and pulls me in. Plus, Ms. Holt knows how to write a fascinating story with wonderful characters that you can’t help but love. I know it has been quite a while since I read the previous one to dream of a highlander and this book I still love this series and the this story wasn’t hard to follow and could be read as a standalone because for me it almost seemed like it since so much time had passed.
Lorna lost everything her home and her lover goes back to castle Kilcree to exact revenge and vengeance against her brother-in-law Gillean. While planning this revenge Lorna is captured and taken to the dungeon by none other than her amnesic lover Logan. Can Lorna help Logan remember who he actually is; if so what will Logan when he is trying to fight the attraction between himself and Lorna when the threat of war is imminent.
I really like Logan wow what a truly tortured handsome highlander hero. I think I was really crushing on him. I think he was going through so much not only did he have to deal with the memory loss but the mounting attraction to Lorna and a cruel evil laird that I seriously think he needed a hug. I’m not saying that I didn’t like it but one moment Logan is a part of Gillean’s clan, there is his memory loss, Lorna all of a sudden Logan’s memory comes back then war it was just a lot for the poor guy I was starting to get a little dizzy too from all of this. Lorna on the other hand I did get a little irritated with her I always felt that even though she loved Logan yet still held so much away from him but maybe it had to do with the pacing of the book. I did like Lorna’s relationships with the rest in her family Finn, Alanna, Morgann and Catriona. I just hope this isn’t the end of the chronicles and that Ms. Holt writes more though because will Teile continue to be like a faery guardian to all maybe I was getting way too much into the story. That’s why I rated the story four stars, can recommend it for any Scottish paranormal romance reader and will definitely get more books from Ms. Holt!
